Yarra Council invested over $4M cleaning, maintaining and upgrading our stormwater drains in the last financial year.
This is critical to keep our drains and underground stormwater network healthy to address climate change.
Increasing heat in our atmosphere from greenhouse gasses is predicted to result in larger and more torrential storms.
We will continue to invest strongly to keep Yarra ready for the future.
Regular cleaning of the drains in our streets will be important as we move into Autumn and the leaves start falling.
